Overview

The Strategic Account Manager plays a pivotal role in the growth and success of our business by identifying and nurturing key partnerships. This position is essential for expanding our market presence and ensuring that our strategic objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with distributors and critical stakeholders within the distribution network. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to enhance business operations.
  • Market Insight: Develop a comprehensive understanding of local market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
  • Sales Strategy Implementation: Execute the sales strategy as outlined in the business plan, ensuring adherence to value and strategic selling methodologies.
  • Tactical Planning: Collaborate with product and business unit managers to design and oversee tactical plans for distributors, ensuring effective execution.
  • Distributor Engagement: Conduct regular visits to key distributors to strengthen relationships and ensure alignment with strategic selling practices.
  • Financial Strategy: Work with distributors to develop financial planning strategies that optimize financial terms and oversee the financing process.
  • Opportunity Identification: Seek and evaluate new business opportunities in underrepresented areas, providing necessary support for product introductions and documentation preparation.
  • Pricing Strategy: Collaborate with the Commercial Director to define pricing strategies and assess special commercial quotations.
  • Business Reviews: Conduct thorough analyses of commercial and financial aspects with distributors to ensure compliance with sales budgets and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Documentation Support: Assist distributors in accessing necessary regulatory and operational documentation.
  • Customer Service Oversight: Ensure high-quality customer service and coordinate with various teams to resolve issues promptly.
  • Logistics and Payment Monitoring: Oversee payment processes and monitor purchase orders to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Stay informed about economic and regulatory developments that may impact business operations and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a scientific or biomedical field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a distribution network within the Latin American region, with knowledge of the IVD, Medical, or Pharmaceutical industries.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Spanish and English, with strong leadership and financial acumen.
  • Preferred Skills: Experience in project management and familiarity with Microsoft Office and SAP.
