We are seeking a dedicated professional to take on the role of Strategic Account Manager. This position is crucial for driving growth and enhancing our market presence in the region.

Position Summary

The Strategic Account Manager will work under the guidance of the Commercial Director to identify, cultivate, and solidify business opportunities within the distribution network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and key stakeholders. Foster collaboration with various functional areas within the organization.
  • Market Insight: Develop a comprehensive understanding of local market trends and customer needs to identify new opportunities.
  • Sales Excellence: Implement strategic sales practices and ensure alignment with company objectives. Monitor sales performance and provide regular updates to management.
  • Tactical Planning: Collaborate with product and business unit managers to design and execute tactical plans for distributors.
  • Distributor Engagement: Conduct regular visits to distributors, ensuring effective implementation of sales strategies and maintaining strong partnerships.
  • Financial Strategy: Work with distributors to develop financial planning strategies and oversee the financial aspects of purchase orders.
  • Opportunity Development: Identify and propose new business opportunities, providing support for critical initiatives.
  • Pricing Strategy: Collaborate with the Commercial Director to define pricing strategies and evaluate special commercial requests.
  • Business Reviews: Conduct thorough analyses of commercial and financial performance, adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Documentation Support: Assist distributors in accessing necessary regulatory and operational documentation.
  • Customer Service Oversight: Ensure high-quality customer service and coordinate with various teams to resolve issues promptly.
  • Logistics Monitoring: Oversee payment processes and logistics to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to company policies and regulations in all business dealings.

Networking and Key Relationships

This role requires close collaboration with:

  • Commercial and Marketing teams for strategic alignment.
  • Technical support teams for customer service excellence.
  • Finance department for sales forecasting and budget management.
  • Distributors and end clients for effective commercial actions.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a scientific or biomedical field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a distribution network within the region, with knowledge of the IVD, Medical, or Pharmaceutical industries.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Spanish and English, strong financial acumen, and experience in leading teams.
