About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at Iron Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and effective on-site and desk-side support services to end-users.
  • Troubleshoot PC-related problems under the direction of our level 2 or SPOC teams.
  • Complete incidents and requests within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in a pressurized environment.
  • BUILD, CONFIGURE, AND TROUBLESHOOT 'Gold' images on customer PCs and laptops, including hardware components.
  • Ensure accurate ticket updates on a daily basis.
  • SUPPORT meeting room environments and video conferencing.
  • SUPPORT printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
  • SUPPORT mobile devices, such as iPads, iPhones, and Android devices.
  • Perform End-User Data backup and restoration during service incidents.
  • Offer smart hands support for data center equipment as per required SLAs (in specified locations).
  • Assist in troubleshooting data center devices under the direction of CLIENT Tech Support.
  • Replace defective component cards in data center equipment as advised by CLIENT Tech Support.
  • Conduct daily tape changes in support of local Backup Routines in required sites.
  • Import/export tapes to tape libraries as instructed by CLIENT tech support.

Technical Skills & Experience Required:

  • Must have experience with call-logging systems.
  • Have a solid working knowledge of Windows 7/10 and related Office applications.
  • Supporting experience with MACs would be beneficial.
  • Awareness of mobile devices, particularly Androids and iPhones.
  • Knowledge of current and legacy hardware platforms.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SCCM.
  • Ability to replace defective parts as identified by CLIENT.
  • Excellent hands-on experience in installing and troubleshooting DC equipment, rack-and-stack of DC equipment/cables.
  • Proficiency in English and local languages is mandatory.

Desired Educational Requirements:

  • Completion of CompTIA certifications (e.g., A+, Network+)
  • Near completion or completion of Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCP, MCITP, MCSE)
