About the RoleIn this challenging and rewarding position, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues over the phone and online. Your expertise in Red Hat products, such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), will enable you to provide expert-level support to customers, ensuring they derive maximum value from our products and subscriptions.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide timely and effective responses to customer inquiries, adhering to designated service-level agreements.
- Investigate and troubleshoot intricate technical issues, developing innovative solutions that meet customer business needs.
- Collaborate with engineers and developers to create customized solutions for customers, including product enhancements.
- Contribute to the global Red Hat knowledge management system by sharing insights gained from troubleshooting and presenting best practices to other engineers within the domain.
To excel in this position, you must possess:
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience as a support, sustaining, or development engineer in an enterprise environment.
- An excellent understanding of Linux and UNIX, with basic Linux system administration experience highly preferred.
- Advanced troubleshooting and debugging skills, coupled with a passion for problem-solving and investigation.
- Exceptional communication skills, enabling clear and effective interaction with customers having varying levels of technical expertise.
- A strong commitment to first-rate customer service, with prior help desk experience or customer-focused background highly valued.
