Job Overview

POSITION SCOPE

To cultivate a distinctive Expeditors customer experience through comprehensive ownership and accountability for:

• Grasping the global customer's profile, requirements, and expectations.

• Retaining existing clientele while actively pursuing global business development opportunities.

• Establishing a strategic and mutually advantageous relationship between Expeditors and the customer on a worldwide scale.

REPORTING STRUCTURE
Reports to the District Customer Retention and Development Manager.

SYSTEMS, TOOLS & ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

• Maintain an organized customer structure in CRM, adhering to the company's global standards.

• Ensure CRM data integrity through diligent input and management.

• Assist in the creation and upkeep of Customer SOPs, ensuring full ownership of tactical responsibilities by operational and customer service teams.

• Set appropriate expectations both internally and externally with customers.

• Leverage and implement Expeditors reporting tools and value-added solutions for selected customers.

• Assess usage and quantify cost savings or avoidance.

• Utilize corporate-approved templates and presentations, customizing as necessary.

CUSTOMER RETENTION

• Develop a comprehensive customer business map to ensure a thorough understanding of the customer's global operations, stakeholders, spending patterns, strategies, and goals.

• Formulate and communicate a global strategic business plan aligned with the customer's mapping and Expeditors' objectives.

• Ensure global visibility and collaboration across the Expeditors network (including strategic updates, KPIs, service deliverables, and initiatives).

• Engage with customers at all organizational levels, fostering relationships beyond the primary point of contact at all locations.

• Initiate value-added solutions based on Expeditors' service offerings and technological capabilities.

• Drive appropriate global alignment and engagement with the customer through regular meetings and reviews.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

• Aim for a larger global wallet share with all customers while promoting up-selling and cross-selling opportunities at all locations.

• Collaborate with various departments and branches through regular meetings and joint calls to advocate existing and new service offerings.

• Assume ownership, accountability, and ongoing management of the global pipeline and opportunities to ensure healthy growth potential and expedited business closure.

Qualifications


• University degree or equivalent business qualifications.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Expeditors or in the industry.

• Proven track record in business development.

• Familiarity with Expeditors' products and services.

• Knowledge of required Expeditors operating systems.

• Proficient in MS Office and CRM software.

• Strong presentation and project management skills.

• Excellent analytical abilities.

• Capability to meet KPI requirements.

• Proven problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

• Charismatic with an ability to connect with others.
