Position Overview:

Ecolab, a global leader in the development of high-quality cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance solutions for various sectors, is looking for a Production Associate. This role encompasses the full spectrum of tasks related to operating, filling, packaging, and washing totes. Candidates should be prepared to engage in multiple functions within the production area, excluding mixing and bulk receiving/shipping duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review filling and packaging guidelines at the start of production runs, ensuring availability of correct materials and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Set up production lines according to specified instructions, making adjustments as necessary or seeking assistance from supervisors or maintenance personnel.
  • Operate filling and packaging machinery consistently, which may include fillers, labelers, cappers, tape machines, bar coders, and more, while adjusting equipment to meet specifications.
  • Conduct all line operations, including loading containers, labeling, filling, capping, generating bar codes, sampling, and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
  • Actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizens and 5S projects.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for reducing waste in systems and processes.
  • Accurately document quality and productivity metrics, including weights and basic quality tests, using both paper and digital formats.
  • Complete filling and packaging tasks while meeting or exceeding established standards.
  • Assist with line changeovers, including managing wash water collection.
  • Uphold a clean and safe working environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages, and decimals
  • No immigration sponsorship is available for this position

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must pass a drug screening and physical examination

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Capability to complete training and master skills essential for the role, including Hazardous Material Safety and DOT training
  • Understanding of safety, quality, and productivity metrics, including run rates and fill weights
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with Total Production Management (TPM) and Continuous Improvement Systems
  • Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and teamwork orientation
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
