Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a crucial collaborator with the business to shape the strategic direction for your designated area, ensuring alignment with overarching corporate strategies, while implementing and adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Convert financial budgets into actionable operational plans, establishing clear performance metrics and overseeing the business planning and forecasting processes for your area of responsibility.
  • Track and evaluate progress, providing insightful analysis to facilitate operational decision-making, identifying challenges, and advising management on strategic action plans to enhance cost efficiency, productivity, and capital utilization.
  • Deliver insights and analysis to support operational decision-making, driving effective cost structures, productivity enhancements, and capital efficiency metrics. Assist in refining business processes and reporting, including production order variances, productivity metrics, purchase price variances, and overheads, while developing annual budget assumptions for labor, materials, and overhead.
  • Lead cross-departmental initiatives that align with operational objectives, defining and implementing global standards and specific business guidelines to foster continuous improvement in financial control processes within your area.
  • Ensure clarity in financial reporting and disclosures, establishing and enforcing internal controls for both financial and non-financial operations, while ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory standards. Support both internal and external audit processes.
  • Utilize necessary processes and tools to ensure transparent and reliable financial data and business information, maintaining high-quality standards in line with defined financial closing schedules.
  • Facilitate timely and effective communication with relevant stakeholders, including the Accounting Center and other internal teams such as Operations, Sales, Manufacturing, HR, and Service, to convey key messages and identify areas for improvement.
  • Promote a safe working environment and engage in continuous health, safety, and environmental improvement processes, demonstrating integrity and responsibility for personal actions while caring for colleagues and the business.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting.
  • Over 10 years of experience in finance, operational, manufacturing, supply chain controlling, and/or accounting.
  • Extensive experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP4/Hana.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain a broader perspective.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to partner effectively with the business.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and a collaborative team player.
  • Keen interest in continuous process improvement.
  • Positive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proficient in English and Spanish.
  • Entry-level experience in people management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to maintain constructive dialogues with stakeholders.
