Role Summary:

The Sales Operations Coordinator is a vital operations role within the Order Management & Invoicing Operations team, part of Anthology's Global Business Operations department. In this capacity, you will be tasked with processing and finalizing transactions within sales systems, ensuring accurate data flow to downstream financial systems for proper invoicing, commission accounting, revenue recording, and customer fulfillment. You will support a designated market segment and maintain specialized knowledge pertinent to that market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process new sales and renewal agreements from Salesforce to Peoplesoft Financials with a focus on transaction accuracy.
  • Uphold financial and administrative controls by reviewing sales agreements and checklists, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines regarding pricing, discounts, promotions, and proposals.
  • Monitor transactions to ensure consistent data flow across various sales and finance systems.
  • Initiate sales order data within the sales and financial systems, ensuring accurate setup, revenue plans, and billing plans.
  • Manage complex transactions, particularly those related to intricate customer contracts and accounting processes.
  • Assist in decision-making regarding contractual adjustments and invoicing changes, leveraging a solid understanding of revenue/business models and Anthology's offerings, as well as familiarity with the global customer base.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of all new and renewal transactions for billing purposes.
  • Conduct daily monitoring of automated billing processes and invoice delivery systems, uploading invoices into third-party delivery platforms.
  • Serve as the authoritative source for existing customer and contract details, ensuring prompt and professional handling of customer inquiries.
  • Participate in regular data and contract conversions related to acquisitions and special projects.

Candidate Profile:

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong focus on customer service.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
  • Proven capability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capacity to meet tight deadlines and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, customers, and colleagues at all levels.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English at CEF B2 level or higher.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Solid understanding of revenue recognition processes and requirements, including external accounting principles and internal company practices.
  • Strong background in finance or operations.
  • Experience with Salesforce or SalesLogix.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft Financials.
  • Knowledge of the E-Rate program.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
