We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to grow our market revenue through new business opportunities within the media industry. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of developing new clients and strategically closing opportunities. They have a strong network of existing client relationships with key decision-makers. This role will also be responsible for building and managing the sales pipeline and identifying new areas for business expansion in partnership with other directors.

The Business Development Manager will be a key stakeholder in the overall performance of the business and the execution of sales strategies. The role will report directly to the CEO.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Understand Refact’s core service offerings and strategically position solutions for new opportunities that generate revenue.
  2. Partner with the CEO and other key leadership stakeholders to define KPI’s, identify growth opportunities, and execute plans to increase sales/revenues across the company.
  3. Convert qualified leads into new opportunities by focusing on Motionstrand’s core suite of capabilities and services.
  4. Generate new business by fostering new and existing relationships with clients.
  5. Research and identify market opportunities that maximize the sales pipeline and conversion of new business.
  6. Partner with client services, development, and creative department to determine technical feasibility of projects and ensure sales opportunities convert to new business opportunities.
  7. Responsible for the creation and maintenance of sales presentations and other marketing materials utilized for new business purposes.
  8. Represent and position agency as a thoughtful leader in the industry by marketing at conferences, speaking events, and participating in a variety of networking forums.

  8. You have excellent contract review and management skills.
  9. You have strong organizational skills with a keen ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  10. You have excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  11. You are great at delivering and receiving feedback.

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of B2B sales/business development experience in marketing and advertising in the media industry.
  2. Proven track record of generating new business in the digital, creative, and marketing space.
  3. Proficiency in using standard CRM systems, email marketing, and mass outreach tools.
  4. Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
  5. Logical, yet creative thinking with adept problem-solving abilities.
  6. Experience in industries beyond the media industry is a plus.
