Key Responsibilities:- Develop Sales and Business Strategy:
- Develop an effective vertical strategy to deliver on Ocean and Logistics targets.
- Establish yourself as a Vertical leader and expert in the Area within Maersk brands, providing guidance and support to commercial teams on potential opportunities from other Brands within the same Vertical.
- Deliver as per Area Budget:
- Drive your portfolio of assigned customers and targets by securing new business based on identified customers' needs.
- Develop a Sales Pipeline for Ocean and Logistics opportunities, with proper filing of events and business opportunities in the system.
- Lead and set direction for the sales executives within your team according to budget – both on delivering ocean volume and logistics GP.
- Develop your vertical sales skills as well as within your team.
- Manage Stakeholders across the Area, Region, and Global Functions:
- Collaborate with other Area Vertical leads in the Latin America Region to secure new business within the region.
- Oversee regional implementation of the global vertical strategy, differentiating the product offering in the market.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Manager, Global Vertical Lead, and Product Teams to design solutions for service offerings for the vertical customers assigned.
- Deliver revenue and gross profit.
- Build a strong sales pipeline.
- Develop structured sales plans and pursuit plans for target customers.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Grow the share of wallet of existing Maersk customers.
- Build a high-performance team.
- Deliver strong sales performance management through SalesForce.
- Follow-up on implementation of new accounts jointly with the Sales Owner/Product, ensuring that no business is lost in implementation.
- Work with overseas offices on large nominated business opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Foreign Trade, or Maritime University (Desirable).
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Minimum 8 years of logistics experience with proven 3 years sales experience in the FMCG Vertical (Desirable).
- Knowledge in the Technology Vertical.
- Logistics financial acumen.
- Proven track record in assessing customer needs, developing, and selling logistics solutions.
- Negotiation skills by adopting a value-selling approach.
- Sales performance management skills.
