Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Software Solutions Support Engineer to provide advanced technical assistance and support for our software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in systems engineering and database management.

Key Qualifications

  • Degree in Systems or Electronic Engineering with extensive experience in Database Management.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Mandatory knowledge and certification in SQL databases, including administration and reporting.
  • Experience or certification in HPe servers and VMWare virtualization is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux server environments.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver level III technical support to customers and manage system operations, addressing issues related to the PremierOne (P1) system.
  • Act as the main liaison between Motorola Support Teams and customers for escalated Level III cases.
  • Oversee the execution and monitoring of service activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Identify potential risks and propose solutions or alternatives for project challenges.
  • Serve as the primary contact for internal teams within Motorola.
  • Generate reports regarding technical support activities.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical support for all level III issues related to P1 databases and systems.
  • Monitor system performance and alert customers to potential issues, assisting them in taking corrective measures.
  • Deliver telephone support to clients, diagnosing and isolating faults through remote access.
  • Conduct regular client visits to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and historical records.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success Managers to define project schedules and timelines.
  • Ensure all activities are tracked according to the scheduled plan.
  • Coordinate support activities and deliveries from third-party vendors as necessary.
  • Facilitate timely support from other internal Motorola teams.
  • Manage field activities in collaboration with Field Engineers as required.
  • Plan and coordinate software upgrades for projects with Motorola and clients.
  • Monitor and control agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with customers.
  • Organize periodic calls with customers to review project progress.
  • Coordinate repairs and manage the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process with vendors as needed.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and updates for customers.
  • Analyze system operations to identify underutilized features and recommend necessary adjustments.

This position operates in a hybrid model.

Basic Requirements

Engineering degree with a focus on supporting clients utilizing Motorola software solutions, bilingual with expertise in database administration.

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel expected, under 10%.
