Job Summary

Werfenlife SA is seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Manager to lead the implementation and execution of regulatory and quality plans. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing third-level support to distributors, setting up educational programs, and developing training programs for the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to distributors through on-site installations, diagnoses, troubleshooting, and repair of complex instruments and systems.
  • Develop and implement educational programs to support distributors in performing routine technical repairs.
  • Design and deliver training programs for the engineering team on the proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Werfen instruments and systems.
  • Serve as a liaison between Werfen and distributors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Interact with sales counterparts to address distributor situations, updates, and lead generations.
  • Guarantee interaction between distributors and manufacturers when technical matters require attention.
  • Support the introduction of software solutions developed by Werfen, playing a key role in their installation and support.
  • Collaborate with product managers to leverage Werfen solutions with IT/Software enhancements.
  • Create a network of engineers and technical specialists within the distribution.
  • Participate in the implementation of business unit projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Werfen's code of ethics.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years' experience as a field service engineer in the healthcare sector, preferably in IVD.
  • Experience in people management, responsible for a technical service department.
  • Highly desirable MBA or similar business-related degree.
  • Good knowledge of networking, automation lines in laboratory environments, and software solutions.
