Job Description

Overview of the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Technical Service Director to lead our team in providing exceptional technical support to our distributors and end customers. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure timely and efficient resolution of technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage a team of technical experts to provide third-level support to distributors, including on-site installations, diagnostics, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex instruments and systems.
  • Service Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement service strategies that align with our corporate objectives, ensuring efficiency, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction.
  • Distributor Support: Establish and maintain strong relationships with distributors, providing training and education programs to enable them to perform routine technical repairs, updates, retrofits, PMs, and product enhancements.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Transfer: Develop and deliver training programs for distributor engineering teams on proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Werfen instruments and systems.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies, mandated policies, procedures, work instructions, and records.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 5 years' experience as a Field Service Engineer in the healthcare sector, preferably in IVD.
  • Management Experience: Experience in people management, responsible for a technical service department.
  • Education: Highly desirable MBA or similar business-related degree.
  • Technical Skills: Good knowledge of networking (wiring, HUB, Switch, DNS/DHCP, firewall solutions, network diagnostics...), automation lines in laboratory environments, and software solutions developed by Werfen.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits and bonuses.
