The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Sales Development Representative to join our team and play a pivotal role in generating new business opportunities through strategic outreach and engagement with potential customers. Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Marketing, this remote position will be responsible for identifying and developing new sales leads, qualifying demand, and nurturing prospects to drive business growth.
Job Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Qualifying Demand: Generate new sales leads from marketing campaigns, qualify demand against established criteria, and pass qualified leads to sales teams.
- Cold Outreach: Conduct cold calls and emails to potential customers, research additional personas or members of a buying group involved in the decision-making process, and nurture predetermined groups of prospects using multiple touch tactics.
- Prospecting and Qualification: Track and manage prospecting, qualification, and nurture activities in CRM software, set up meetings or calls between customers and Account Executives, and stay updated on Anthology's products and services.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Provide accurate weekly forecasts on qualified demand, track key performance metrics, and maintain a strong understanding of sales performance metrics and digital selling strategies.
Requirements and Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates must have:
- 5-8 Years of Sales Experience: Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive, or similar role.
- Sales Techniques and CRM Software: Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques, including cold calls, and proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and ABM (e.g., 6Sense).
- Strong Communication and Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a strong ability to prioritize and shift workload to meet deadlines.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in written and spoken English at CEF B2 level or above.
About You
We are looking for a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, with a passion for sales, ability to identify potential leads, and develop innovative outreach strategies. Preferred qualifications include experience in the education industry, familiarity with SaaS sales cycles, and knowledge of ABX sales/marketing strategies.
