HR Payroll Coordinator

At Universidad Católica de Oriente, we are seeking a skilled HR Payroll Coordinator to support our operations. This role will focus on managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional support to employees and supervisors.
Responsibilities:- Manage payroll processes with precision, including timecards, taxes, and filings.
- Be the point of contact for payroll inquiries, offering timely and accurate support.
- Ensure compliance with payroll standards and procedures.
- Assist employees and supervisors with timekeeping, training, and payroll-related requests.
- Conduct routine payroll audits to ensure accuracy.
Requirements:
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in payroll (mid-size companies, 200+ employees), 3+ years in HR.
- Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel, and familiarity with HRIS.
- Bonus: Knowledge of multi-state tax and wage laws (California experience highly preferred).
- Soft skills: high integrity, teamwork-oriented, results-driven, and a strong sense of urgency.
