Sezzle is seeking a highly skilled Chargeback Operations Analyst to join our team. This role will involve investigating disputed credit card, debit card, and ACH transactions, taking suitable action to resolve those disputes within allowed timeframes.

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented individual with strong analytical skills to investigate individual transactions using internal policies and review methodologies to identify patterns or trends. You will work cross-functionally with relevant departments to determine next steps on a case-by-case basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigation and Analysis: Investigate individual transactions using internal policies and review methodologies to identify patterns or trends.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work cross-functionally with analysts, operations specialists, data scientists, and engineers to improve loss prevention mechanisms, processes, and tools.
  • Domain Knowledge: Maintain strong domain knowledge of the world of fraud including prevention techniques and technologies.
  • Service Level Agreements (SLAs): Maintain or exceed established SLAs for timely resolution of queued cases to minimize potential losses.
  • Escalations: Handle escalations from internal and external stakeholders in a professional and efficient manner.

Ideal Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in processing chargebacks or investigating and resolving fraud incidents
  • Experienced in analyzing data and comfortable making impactful decisions in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong business judgment and communication skills
  • Ability to self-start and work with minimal supervision after training
  • Able to work through holidays

Salary Range:

The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
