Overview of the Position
The Financial Operations Lead will assist the Area Controller in ensuring compliance with all statutory obligations, including but not limited to statutory accounting, local tax regulations, payroll management, local audits, and the preparation of local billing documentation. This role is pivotal in managing importation documents and ensuring timely submission of invoices to the appropriate channels.
Act as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries for all in-country personnel, coordinating with any outsourced vendors as necessary. In collaboration with the Area Controller, oversee any outsourced service providers related to Indirect and Direct Taxes (Income Tax) and statutory accounts. Support the Fixed Asset team by liaising with custodians regarding location details and asset tagging. Ensure all invoices are meticulously sent (via fax, scan, or courier) to the designated processing centers. Maintain comprehensive records of all documents and transactions as mandated by local legislation. Assist the General Ledger team with the classification of non-compliant invoices. Provide support to the collections team by engaging with customers as required. Promptly escalate any inquiries from internal or external stakeholders that cannot be resolved independently to the Area Controller or relevant personnel. Contribute to the enhancement of systems and processes to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization. Collaborate with other departments to achieve the key objectives of the Finance Operations. Aid the Area Controller in fulfilling their responsibilities.Candidate Profile
Proficiency in both the local language and English (spoken, written, and reading). Qualification as an Accountant or equivalent; experience in a multinational corporation is highly advantageous. In-depth knowledge and experience within the local context. Results-oriented mindset. Professional demeanor with a focus on customer service. Strong communication abilities. Capability to manage relationships with both internal and external clients. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.Additional Information
