Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Regional Finance Manager in the preparation and analysis of financial reports related to US Operations.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team to enhance the evaluation of operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure accurate reporting of sub-regional Profit and Loss statements, confirming that all revenues and expenses are allocated correctly.
  • Conduct monthly assessments of Subcontractor Driver Costs to guarantee expenses are recorded in the appropriate periods and assigned to the correct locations.
  • Support payroll analysis for Regional Operations.
  • Participate in month-end and quarterly closing activities, focusing on P&L reviews and variance analysis.
  • Contribute to the Monthly Business Review by providing reporting and analysis on regional performance, including risk and opportunity assessments.
  • Engage in office KPI reporting and attend monthly meetings to identify and follow up on action items aimed at enhancing efficiency and profitability.
  • Serve as a financial resource for Country and Station Managers regarding financial inquiries.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of capital expenditure requests, ensuring proper tracking and approvals.
  • Support the development and maintenance of financial reporting for new offices, comparing them to business case financials.
  • Assist with the budget submission process for US Operations.
  • Ensure compliance with World Courier Finance Policies across regional operations.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly financial analyses, clearly communicating the causes and impacts of variances and trends.
  • Provide analytical support to the FP&A team on various projects as required.
  • Assist in the development of monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Generate ad hoc analysis reports as necessary.
  • Perform additional finance and accounting tasks as needed.

Qualifications

A background in business administration, accounting, economics, or a related field is preferred, typically acquired through a four-year degree program or equivalent experience. A minimum of one to two years of relevant experience is generally required.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Good decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficient mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze profit and loss statements.
  • Experience in implementing processes that ensure satisfactory audit practices.
  • Familiarity with logistics services and operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and other accounting and planning software.
  • Previous experience with SAP is advantageous.
