Position Summary
As an OEM Technical Consultant Trainee, you will gain insights into and apply key telecommunications standards (such as ETSI, 3GPP, GP, GSMA, TCA, etc.) that form the foundation for SIM/eUICC requirements. You will translate these standards into technical specifications utilizing Thales tools. Under the guidance of a technical consultant, you will coordinate the complete lifecycle of BAP projects requested by Thales teams, adhering to established processes, while managing logistical and administrative tasks with diverse clients across the Americas.
Key Responsibilities
- Comprehend SIM/eUICC products and their specifications.
- Address SIM/eUICC-related challenges and conduct assessments and testing of cards and systems.
- Ensure timely and quality delivery of SIM/eUICC testing.
- Assist in developing training materials and requirements for prototypes, establishing best practices, and supporting engineering BAP card initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Software, Telecommunications, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, or related fields in Computer Science.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English (minimum B2 level).
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Java, C++, HTML, XML, GSM, and/or UMTS networks.
- This is an entry-level position; prior professional experience is not mandatory, though a keen interest in Smartcards, Embedded Software, or a background in Telecom services is preferred.
Position Requirements
- Colombian citizenship or valid work permit.
- This is a hybrid role, with the office located in Bogotá.
