Technical Support Specialist

At CommScope, we're on a quest to deliver connectivity that empowers how we live, work, and learn. As a Principal Technical Support Engineer, you'll play a critical role in helping us achieve this goal.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wireless networking, with expertise in wireless protocols, WAP, WLC, WLAN security, SSL certificates, TCP/IP, RADIUS, LDAP, and packet capture analysis. Experience with Windows and Linux server platforms, VM platforms, and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCE is also highly desirable.
Responsibilities will include troubleshooting and resolving customer technical issues, working closely with engineering teams to debug and resolve software and hardware defects, and providing in-person support to customers as needed. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and publishing knowledge base articles to share with customers and internal technical support engineers.
Key qualifications for this role include a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer science, or relevant experience in a technical field. A minimum of 7 years of work experience in wireless networking is required, with expertise in Layer 2 and Layer 3 switch troubleshooting and scripting in Linux being a plus.
