About the Role:
The Group Sales and Revenue Manager is responsible for promoting and selling hotel rooms to group customers in a defined geographic region. This role requires a high degree of independent judgment and discretion on decision making, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and target group customers that will generate business on behalf of the hotel without conflicting with existing sales efforts.
- Negotiate, draft, and confirm group contracts to ensure hotel budget and revenue targets are achieved.
- Adjust group pricing and recommend concessions as needed to secure group business and support hotel budget targets.
- Utilize various prospecting resources to solicit and secure business on behalf of the hotel.
- Follow up on all business inquiries and leads to qualify business and generate group room nights and associated food and beverage revenue.
- Create and execute account plans for assigned market territory to ensure maximum group revenue and budgeted targets are achieved.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and direct sales goals.
Requirements:
College degree and 4 years of experience in luxury hotel sales or 3-5 years of operational hotel experience.
Proven sales track record and reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English and Spanish.
Good personal and professional references and working computer skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Internet.
