About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional educator to lead our Secondary School in Bogotá, Colombia. This is a unique opportunity to shape the educational landscape of a leading international school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic planning process for school improvement in the Secondary section, aligning with whole-school objectives.
  • Ensure the highest quality of provision for all learners, meeting IB programmes and Colombian standards.
  • Establish and promote high standards and expectations for teachers, focusing on student academic performance.
  • Provide training for teachers, addressing identified priorities for the section.
  • Lead induction and appraisal processes, creating mechanisms for coaching, mentoring, and peer support.
  • Develop assessment protocols to enable effective monitoring, reflection, and intervention.
  • Maintain high levels of student behavior, ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Prioritize child protection and safeguarding measures, ensuring student safety and well-being.
Operational/Administrative
  • Optimize school systems for student learning, including the development and monitoring of the academic resources budget.
  • Contribute to admissions processes and represent the school at events connected to the Secondary section.
  • Prepare the annual secondary budget and oversee staff appraisal processes.
Requirements
  • Proven record of success in a secondary school position of responsibility.
  • Experience of managing a diverse range of staff, including teaching staff members.
  • Strong organizational, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
