Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to fill the position of Head of Secondary School at Colegio Anglo Colombiano in Bogotá, Colombia.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in secondary school leadership, with experience in strategic planning, staff management, and curriculum development. They will be responsible for leading the Secondary section, ensuring the highest quality of provision for all learners, and contributing to the overall strategic plan of the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning and Leadership: Lead the drive for continuous improvement in the Secondary section, contribute to the strategic planning process, and lead international programmes such as Round Square, MUN, and the International Award.
  • Teaching and Learning: Ensure high-quality provision for approximately 900 students, establish and promote high standards for teachers, provide training, and lead assessment protocols.
  • Student Life: Model and promote school values, maintain high levels of student behaviour, and prioritise child protection and safeguarding measures.
  • Operational/Administrative: Ensure school systems are optimised for student learning, contribute to admissions processes, represent the school at events, and prepare the annual secondary budget.
Requirements
  • A proven record of success in a secondary school position of responsibility.
  • Successful experience of inspection and/or accreditation processes.
  • A record of raising teaching standards and providing INSET/teacher training.
  • Strong organisational, public relations, and interpersonal skills.
