**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**

An exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant has arisen within the Financial Reporting team as part of Gesban, who play an important role within Santander by providing monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for Santander UK Plc (SanUK) and its subsidiaries.
With support where needed, you’ll be managing a small team responsible for the retail and corporate financial reporting of SanUK including and but not limited to transaction asset & liability reporting, Treasury accounting and intercompany together with on-going projects.
**The difference you’ll make.**:
- Being a proactive people manager for team, such as internal development and training
- Ensuring accurate month, quarter and year end detailed analysis for UK and group external reporting related to retail and corporate core business as carried out by team including monthly journals and related AORP reconciliations
- Managing processes related to other assets & liability postings & analysis, reconciliations, capital asset analysis, Treasury postings and intercompany
- Delegating ad hoc queries, from various stakeholders, related to retail and corporate reporting ensuring timely and accurate responses
- Supporting the wider reporting team in Gesban statutory accounting and SanUK subsidiary financial reporting
- Ensuring EUC compliance of team’s processes with up-to-date process documentation
- Getting involved in projects related to new systems / products or that aim to improve overall quality and efficiency in processes and deliverables to stakeholders
**What you’ll bring.**:
- Experience in accounting principles, month/year end reporting in a Financial/MI environment
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA Qualified (or equivalent)
**It would also be nice for you to have.**:
- Ability to work as a team with strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all stakeholders
- Proactive, task focused and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail
- Experience of Santander systems, eg: Walker, Essbase, AORP, MicroStrategy
**What else you need to know.**
This is a full time permanent role based in Milton Keynes.
Given the recent impact of the Coronavirus outbreak we will be conducting all interviews via telephone or video-conference where possible.
