We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our dynamic team, working closely with our customers to provide top-notch technical assistance and support.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing first-line technical support to our customers, ensuring prompt resolution of technical issues and excellent customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently and effectively
  • Provide remote technical assistance to customers via email, phone, or in-person support
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, including Windows XP/7, IP telephony, networks, computer hardware, peripherals, and bespoke developed applications
  • Collaborate with 2nd line/R&D teams to escalate complex issues as needed
  • Ensure seamless communication with customers throughout the support process

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent technical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Essential Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience in technical support and project-based working
  • Good computer literacy skills, including PC hardware knowledge and fault diagnosis
  • Experience in PC setup, installation, and configuration
  • Strong understanding of Windows XP/7, TCP/IP, routers, switches, and basic network technologies

Desirable Skills:

  • Wider networking skills, including routing and switching knowledge
  • Experience in bespoke software and hardware
  • Knowledge of telephone systems and telephony integration

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience
