About the Center:The Center for Reproductive Rights is a global human rights organization dedicated to ensuring that reproductive rights are protected in law as fundamental human rights around the world. With offices in multiple locations, the Center is a non-profit, non-partisan organization working to advance reproductive rights through litigation, legal policy, and advocacy.
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic intern to assist with communications and advocacy activities in our Latin America & the Caribbean team. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to reproductive rights issues and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:- Assist with communications and logistics for legal and programs projects
- Monitor press mentions and compile media coverage reports
- Assist with event planning and execution
- Update and maintain media databases and contact lists
- Assist with communications initiatives, including graphic design and video editing
- Translate documents and press releases
- Current student of social communication, design, or audiovisual media
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Demonstrated interest in gender/women's issues and reproductive rights
- Fluency in Spanish and English (B1), Portuguese is a plus
- Proficiency in video editing and graphic design software
- Develop & Manage Self & Others: Takes ownership of individual growth and recognizes the value of team members
- Collaboration: Works intra- and/or cross-departmentally to support the goals and strategies of the Center
