We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Popular. As a Risk Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in assessing the adequacy of internal controls in our Information Technology Division.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and Evaluate Risks: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential weaknesses in our IT systems and processes.
- Develop Action Plans: Create and implement action plans to address identified risks, prevent audit findings, and promote best practices.
- Internal Assessment Procedures: Participate in the planning and execution of internal assessment procedures and create reports to present to management.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with our IT team to create a solid information technology culture and collaborate with clients to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with best practices.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Computer Science.
- Experience: Two to three years of experience in IT audits or IT risk and procedures.
- Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; comprehensive understanding of internal control environments within the IT function; knowledge of information security standards and best practices for securing computer systems.
- Certifications: CISA, CISM, or CISSP certification is preferred.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
