About the RoleWe're looking for a technical expert with a strong background in wireless networking and system troubleshooting. As a Principal Technical Support Engineer, you'll be responsible for providing prompt and effective technical support to our customers, collaborating with internal engineering teams, and working closely with customers to resolve complex technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with minimal direction
- Collaborate with customers and internal engineering teams to collect logs and network data
- Replicate customer technical environments in the Support lab to recreate customer issues
- Work closely with engineering to debug logs and collect data to isolate SW/HW defects
- Provide in-person, on-site support to customers experiencing major issues
- Develop and publish Knowledgebase (KB) articles on sophisticated problem resolutions
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant experience in a technical field
- 7+ years of work experience in wireless networking
- Expert level in wireless 802.11 protocols, WAP, WLC, WLAN security, SSL certificate, TCP/IP, RADIUS, LDAP, and packet capture analysis
