Join Amazon Web Services (AWS) as part of the WW Public Sector LATAM team to formulate and implement strategies aimed at expanding our footprint in this vital industry. Our focus is on promoting the adoption of cloud computing technologies among government entities by engaging directly with technical leaders, executives, and influencers across various levels.
As the Industry Leader for LATAM Public Sector Education, you will play a crucial role in the sales leadership team, responsible for executing a defined geographic strategy that aids LATAM governments in transforming their operations for the benefit of their citizens.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Engaging with C-suite executives within public sector organizations to strengthen relationships.
- Assisting Account and Sales Managers in advancing their business objectives.
- Collaborating with strategic industry partners.
- Participating in and presenting at industry events to promote thought leadership.
- Guiding the development of government solutions in the region.
- Creating significant business opportunities for AWS.
You will work closely with AWS LATAM sales leadership to enhance interactions with public sector clients and collaborate with solution architects to develop and promote scalable cloud solutions tailored for the industry, including systems like SIS, ERP, LMS, and more.
Your insights will be invaluable in providing feedback to core AWS product and services teams, aiding in the evolution of future offerings for faster customer adoption. Additionally, you will partner with the Industry Solution Team to create scalable solutions for deployment across LATAM.
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of business acumen and experience with public sector clients, showcasing a proven sales track record at the government executive level, along with a deep understanding of technology.
Key qualifications include:
- 7+ years of direct sales or business development experience in software, cloud, or SaaS markets targeting C-level executives.
- 10+ years of experience in business development, partner development, sales, or alliance management.
Preferred qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in building profitable partner ecosystems.
- Experience in developing comprehensive go-to-market strategies.
This role may require up to 40% international travel within Latin America and the Caribbean.
