Compliance Specialist Job Description

Viamericas Corporation is a leading provider of international money transfer, bill payment, and check processing services. We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Compliance Department in daily operations, including monitoring tasks to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines.
  • Provide advisory services to improve the company's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Program.
  • Solve Compliance holds and difficulties in daily operations, following applicable procedures and directives.
  • Provide advice on transactional holds, business rules, and control requirements.
  • Assist in the release of transactions placed on hold and provide support to transactional processes.
  • Validate, integrate, and verify watch lists, including Internal Black List and OFAC List.
  • Serve as liaison with correspondents to reply to information/documentation requests.
  • Organize and maintain files and records.
  • Participate in training for new Authorized Delegates or those requiring renewal.
  • Generate necessary documentation for agents, including Certificates, Licenses, and Letters.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with computer software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proactive and eager to learn.
  • Strong communication, writing, and documentation skills.
  • Strong process adherence orientation.
  • Ability to handle problems, complaints, and questions regarding compliance paperwork.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multi-task and adhere to time-sensitive deadlines.
Information Security Responsibilities:
  • Read, acknowledge, and comply with Viamericas Staff Information Security Policy.
  • Attend periodic Information Security training.
  • Report any Information Security Incident.
