Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team at SOLVO. As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients with their financial needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Month-End Close Process: Assist in the month-end close process for both cash- and accrual-basis clients using QuickBooks Online.
  • Schedule Maintenance: Maintain schedules, typically in Google Sheets format, that support account balances.
  • Journal Entries: Post general and adjusting journal entries.
  • Reporting: Create draft reporting packets in Fathom software.
  • Client Onboarding: Help onboard clients by migrating to the new chart of accounts and setting up month-end schedules in our project management software.
Required Attitudes & Attributes:
  • Accrual Accounting Experience: Strong experience with accrual accounting is essential.
  • GAAP Compliance: Preferable experience with GAAP compliant settings, such as supporting businesses with annual GAAP audits.
  • Google Suite Experience: Preferable experience with Google Sheets and Google Drive.
  • QuickBooks Expertise: Strong experience with QuickBooks Online, including certification, is a plus.
  • Bill Experience: Preferable experience using Bill.
