Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the employees' environment feels safe and abundant to aid them in delivering the world's best customer experience. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing work according to standard procedure and by the building's operational schedule.
  • Making minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs.
  • Setting up and tearing down chairs, tables, and equipment for meetings or site functions.
  • Preparing rooms for use by internal and external organizations.
  • Conducting maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs.
  • Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and systems.
  • Collaborating with workers and other professionals during renovations.
  • Following all applicable safety rules and security procedures.
  • Assisting in shipping and receiving supplies and materials.
  • Reporting any issues to the Facilities Manager and Site Facility Lead.
  • Participating in general cleaning, painting, and repair work.
  • Using hand tools and power tools in making minor maintenance repairs and maintaining grounds and walks.
  • Providing assistance to officials, staff, visitors, and other employees as necessary.
  • Checking building at the beginning and end of shifts, ensuring things are clean/tidy and addressing any issues.
  • Working on inventories for office and cleaning supplies.
  • Creating monthly, daily, and annual reports on pending supply requisitions and costing.
  • Monitoring and maintaining office housekeeping.
  • Practicing efficiency, especially in lodging and monitoring of purchase requisitions, and handling purchase orders.
  • Performing regular inspections of furniture and fixtures, bulbs and lighting, electrical outlets, and restroom fixtures to ascertain that these are in good working condition.
  • Receiving and accounting for the completeness of all incoming deliveries of office equipment, furniture and fixtures, and other fixed assets.
  • Knowledge of the principles, techniques, equipment, and supplies used in the handyman industry.
  • Inventory and stock management ensuring the office is up to standards with daily walkthroughs.
  • Having basic construction skills and expertise in home repair, maintenance, and renovations.
  • Organizing and managing equipment required to complete daily tasks.
  • Working with clients to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to learn and operate computer programs and systems.
  • Able to do physical labor work including bending, lifting (50 lbs), and handling tools.
  • Driver's license is required.
  • You are able to stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Flexibility: you'll be switching gears, shifting priorities, and balancing task lists with calls for maintenance.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician with the following qualifications:

  • 1+ year(s) previous experience in maintenance supervision or related field.
  • Positive attitude and a problem-solver.
  • Computer skills; may include scheduling with Google Suite or similar software.
  • Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to physically climb ladders, stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 15 to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work occasionally in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow.
  • Ability to work overnight/non-traditional hours, on an 'as needed' basis.
  • Be able to motivate and inspire a team of Housekeeping and Security staff, plus manage vendors because this position deals with them regularly.
  • 1 years of labor or customer service experience.
  • Previous handyman experience is preferred.
Education / Certifications

We require a High school degree; background in facilities management, business management or related field preferred.Work Location / Work Schedule / Travel

This is an office-based position with occasional travel may be required for meetings, conferences, or client engagements, as per business needs.
