About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR professional to join our team at NielsenIQ as a Strategic HR Business Partner. In this role, you will be responsible for executing key HR processes within the United States, ensuring a consistent employee experience and driving compliance with key local (US) HR policies and local (US) regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement HR Strategy

You will be responsible for the successful implementation of strategic HR initiatives at the local (US) level, aligning with the organization's overall business objectives.

Retain Top Talent

You will assist with retention plans and strategies in your local market (US), partnering with EE and HRBP leaders as required to track and ensure execution of all required payments, etc.

Talent Management and Development

You will support the roll out of global and regional development initiatives and programs within the respective country or sub-cluster, focusing on employee growth and development.

Employee Relations, Labor Relations, and Performance Management

You will ensure compliance with local (US) HR policies and procedures, assist with resolution of local (US) employee relations issues, and provide required data and information to locally (US) relevant Works Councils and Unions.

Culture, Values, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I)

You will maintain a positive organizational culture in your local (US) market, aligned to the organization's values and mission, which includes promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Change Management and Communication

You will assist with local (US) implementation of change initiatives, as initiated by global or local (US) HR leaders, ensuring appropriate support of local (US) associates.

Compliance

You will support organizational compliance with all relevant laws and regulations relating to HR, including labor laws, employment standards, and local (US) norms, partnering with the security team on health and safety regulations as applicable.

Requirements
  1. Experience managing the US market
  2. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  3. 1-2 years of relevant internship or part-time experience in HR or related roles
  4. Basic understanding of financial concepts related to HR activities
  5. Familiarity with how HR strategies contribute to organizational goals
  6. Exposure to employee relations, performance management, and talent development concepts
  7. Basic knowledge of HR best practices and legal guidelines
  8. Familiarity with using data for HR insights
  9. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with an eagerness to connect with managers and employees
  10. Interest in supporting organizational change efforts
  11. Ability to work with guidance and manage tasks in a dynamic environment
  12. Interest in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace
