Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Finance Business Partner to join our team at NielsenIQ. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic financial insights and analysis to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Advising: Act as a trusted advisor to our business units, providing financial insights and analysis that inform strategic decisions and business planning.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for our business units, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals. Collaborate closely with regional and local finance teams to provide business intelligence and a consolidated view.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts; provide detailed reports and recommendations to enhance business operations and profitability.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and opportunities; develop strategies to manage risks and capitalize on opportunities. Develop financial models and scenarios to evaluate business initiatives, investment opportunities, and strategic projects.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, ensuring open communication and collaborative problem-solving. Work closely with finance regional teams to support clear communication and transparency between the center and the field.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. An MBA or professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a must.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a financial analysis, business analysis, or a similar strategic role in finance.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business operations and the impact of financial decisions on business outcomes.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in financial modeling and experience with financial software and systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and ERP systems. Experience using data visualization tools (Power BI, etc.) is highly preferred.
  • Analytical Skills: High proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and data interpretation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and provide leadership and guidance on financial matters to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
