Food Safety Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Safety Coordinator to join our Quality & Food Safety team at Kellanova. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety programs and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety in our production operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and ensure compliance with Food Safety programs, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), microbiological control, pest control, environmental monitoring, allergen management, cleaning and disinfection, hygiene zones, HACCP, and foreign material control.
  • Monitor and continuously improve our sanitation and safety standards, generating monthly Sanitation Score Card indicators and developing action plans to correct detected deviations.
  • Lead the Housekeeping program in the plant and manage the suppliers and ingredients program, including the development of new products for Colombia.
  • Administer cleaning and disinfection procedures, develop new procedures as necessary, and manage the Food Safety budget.
  • Support the development and coaching of quality personnel, promote a culture of safety, and participate in activities aimed at injury and illness prevention, aligning with our values and environmental policies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related fields.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working in production plants or food companies.
  • Ability to lead teams and manage projects.
  • Basic English level.
