Bilingual Clinical Communication Specialist for LatAm

Position Title: Clinical Communication Specialist (Remote – Bilingual English/Spanish)

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time (CT)

Compensation: 800 to 1200 USD

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and accurately document patient inquiries and messages.
  • Prioritize and relay patient communications to the appropriate healthcare providers.
  • Understand and adhere to orthopedic outpatient protocols.
  • Assess the urgency of patient concerns, particularly regarding post-operative care and potential complications.
  • Interpret and follow surgeons' protocols with precision.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal).
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably with a background from foreign medical or nursing schools (US-credentialed programs preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of basic orthopedic outpatient protocols.
  • Ability to execute established protocols effectively.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to established procedures.
  • Proficiency in relevant medical terminology.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record system.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • A sense of urgency in addressing patient concerns.
  • Thorough understanding of HIPAA compliance and regulations.

Important Note: This position does not involve providing medical advice, as it is focused on facilitating communication between patients and the medical team.

Education:

  • A medical or nursing background is required, with preference for candidates from US-credentialed programs or those who have completed or partially completed foreign medical education.
