Job Description

Charger Logistics is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for processing and reviewing all accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payment to our vendors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Payable Processing: Process and review all accounts payable transactions, including invoices, payments, and credit memos.
  • A/P Aging: Review and monitor A/P aging to ensure timely payment to vendors.
  • Vendor Communication: Act as the first point of contact with all vendors, effectively communicating and liaising with vendors, carriers, and other departments to resolve all A/P inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Check Management: Manage weekly check runs, including producing and reviewing checks, EFTs, and other electronic payments, as well as check signing.
  • PO Management: Manage and create purchase orders for various members of the organization.
  • Vendor Verification: Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Preference for a candidate with at least 2-4 years of full-cycle accounts payable experience.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the transportation industry is a plus.
  • Language Skills: Fluent English is a must.
  • Software Skills: Must have experience working with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
  • Additional Skills: Previous experience working with Sage 300 is an asset.
  • Personal Qualities: The candidate must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational, verbal, and written skills.
  • Education: The candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment are a must.
  • Customer Service: Strong customer service and communication skills are required.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have the flexibility to handle various job assignments while prioritizing all assigned tasks.
