Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team at ScotiaGBS in Bogota, Colombia. Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable Processing: Ensure all invoices and expenses are sorted, dated, and distributed in a timely manner, adhering to established guidelines.
  • Invoice Review and Verification: Review incoming invoices and expenses to ensure they meet all requirements for processing, including regulatory compliance.
  • Payment Processing: Perform necessary processing activities in the PeopleSoft system to create accurate and timely payments for compliant invoices and expenses.
Process Improvements and Compliance
  • Identify Process Improvement Opportunities: Analyze current processes and identify areas for improvement, escalating recommendations to the Supervisor.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain knowledge of source financial systems and understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Operational Excellence: Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of your respective areas, adhering to Scotiabank's Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles.
Reporting Relationships and Requirements
  • Primary Manager: Accounts Payable Supervisor
  • Education and Experience: Technician on finance or related studies, with experience working in a high-volume payment operations/accounts payable unit.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.
