Job Summary

CommScope is seeking a highly skilled Principal Technical Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Customer Support and Services (CSS) team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our customers.

About the Role

We are looking for a technical expert with a strong background in wireless networking and system troubleshooting. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, isolating, and resolving complex technical issues for our customers. Your expertise in wireless protocols, WAP, WLC, WLAN security, and packet capture analysis will be essential in delivering outstanding customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt and effective technical support to customers via phone, email, or remote access.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to debug and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Develop and publish knowledge base articles to share with customers and internal technical support engineers.
  • Participate in on-site support for critical issues impacting customer experience.
  • Work closely with multi-functional teams to improve process efficiency and develop new tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or relevant experience in a technical field.
  • 7+ years of work experience in wireless networking.
  • Expert-level knowledge of wireless 802.11 protocols, WAP, WLC, WLAN security, and packet capture analysis.
  • System experience in Windows and Linux server platforms, VM platforms, and cloud platforms.
