World Business Lenders, LLC specializes in providing general purpose short-term commercial loans secured by real estate to a diverse clientele of small and medium-sized enterprises across the United States that face challenges in accessing conventional financing.
This role is a Contract/Consultant position. Typical working hours are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, although additional hours may be required based on operational needs. The position demands EXCELLENT proficiency in both oral and written English. Resumes must be submitted in English to be considered.
Position Overview
In a dynamic, high-performance environment, the Loan Operations Associate will assist the Loan Operations Counsel and General Counsel in managing all U.S. legal and regulatory matters related to the company's origination of short-term commercial loans secured by real estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee legal and regulatory components of the loan origination process
- Collaborate internally with relevant departments and externally with applicants, title companies, and outside legal counsel
- Ensure adherence to all applicable legal and regulatory standards
- Stay informed on current rules and regulations
- Provide necessary legal advice and support
- Draft and review loan documents and associated paperwork
- Examine title reports and commitments
- Draft and review agreements with business referral partners
- Understand and meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Develop, update, and revise relevant policies and procedures
- Conduct post-closing reviews of loans
- Address origination-related issues in conjunction with the post-closing asset resolution process for non-performing loans
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Paralegal with 10 years of experience or Junior Lawyer
- 5+ years of experience in the U.S. in commercial loan origination, preferably with real estate collateral
- Familiarity with U.S. federal and state commercial lending laws, regulations, and licensing requirements
- Knowledge of real property recording systems and title matters across the U.S.
- Exceptional organizational, communication (both written and verbal), and computer skills
- Outstanding English fluency, both written and verbal
- Strong legal research capabilities
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment while managing multiple projects
- Detail-oriented and resourceful with excellent follow-through
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe applications
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally
