World Business Lenders, LLC specializes in providing short-term, real estate-backed commercial financing solutions to a diverse clientele of small and medium-sized enterprises across the United States that face challenges in accessing conventional funding.

This role is a Contract/Consultant position, typically requiring work hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, although additional hours may be necessary based on operational demands. The position necessitates EXCELLENT proficiency in both oral and written English. Resumes must be submitted in English or they will not be reviewed.

Position Overview

In a dynamic, high-expectation, results-driven environment, the Loan Operations Associate will assist the Loan Operations Counsel and General Counsel in managing all U.S. legal and regulatory aspects related to the company's origination of short-term, real estate-secured commercial loans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee legal and regulatory components of the loan origination process
  • Collaborate internally with relevant departments and externally with applicants, title companies, and outside legal counsel
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable legal and regulatory standards
  • Stay informed about current rules and regulations
  • Provide necessary legal advice and guidance
  • Draft and review loan documents and supporting materials
  • Examine title reports and commitments
  • Draft and review agreements with business referral partners
  • Understand and meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Develop, prepare, update, and revise relevant policies and procedures
  • Conduct post-closing loan evaluations
  • Address origination-related issues in coordination with the post-closing asset resolution process for non-performing loans
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Paralegal with 10 years of experience or Junior Lawyer
  • 5+ years of experience in the U.S. commercial loan origination sector (preferably in real estate collateralized loans)
  • Familiarity with U.S. federal and state commercial lending laws, regulations, and licensing requirements preferred
  • Knowledge of real property recording systems and title chain matters across the U.S. preferred
  • Exceptional organizational, communication (both written and verbal), and computer skills
  • Outstanding English fluency, both written and verbal
  • Strong legal research capabilities
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment while managing multiple projects
  • Detail-oriented and resourceful with excellent follow-through abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe applications
  • Able to build and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally
