Earn an estimated annual salary of $80,000-$120,000, depending on experience, in this key role at IFF. Our team seeks a highly motivated and results-driven individual to develop applications that exhibit independent application and project planning ability.
Job Overview:We are looking for our next Senior Application Specialist to work with established internal and external customer networks, share and leverage products and techniques in the Culinary category. This role requires strong finished product knowledge, excellent problem-solving abilities, and high emotional intelligence.
Key Responsibilities:- Proven time and project management skills to lead projects from start to finish.
- Provide technical services to Customers, Sales, and Divisions as needed (plant trials, troubleshooting, and training).
- Develop finished product formulations incorporating technologies and meeting industrial standards, country-specific and client requirements (profile, legal, cost, and stability requirements).
- Maintain appropriate documentation for experiments and other tasks as required.
- Responsible for complex technical projects from experimental design to completion.
- Understand analytical procedures, processed meat, sauces, and dressings equipment setup, and preparation of standards and product materials under minimal supervision.
- Proactive in using new ingredients, advancing technology, and utilizing IFF technology.
- Understand ingredient functionality and flavor performance in different finished products and incorporate technology appropriately.
- Strong understanding, communication, and contribution to IFF business strategy at a local, regional, and global level.
- Understand and communicate customer business strategy, brands, consumer preference, and market trends.
- Provide technical services to customers as needed (plant trials, troubleshooting, and training).
- Visit customers and present technical information and texture design concepts.
- Develop strong relationships with aligned customers and related categories.
- Assist customers by participating in in-house visits, answering technical questions, and conducting seminars and presentations as assigned.
- Provides total solutions utilizing creative problem-solving skills.
- A valued partner with strategic customers and related categories.
This position is considered an Anchor and requires working in the lab/pilot plant for 5 days/week. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in the processed meat, sauces, and dressings industry and at least 2 years of experience as a project leader in interdepartmental cross-functional team roles. A University/College Degree in Engineering, Food Science, or Technology is required.
