From the check-in counter to the departure gate, and even behind the scenes, our Airport Operations team keeps operations at our airports running smoothly every single day.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for day to day operational, financial and personnel performance of assigned international outstationEstablishes or implements goals and standards to maintain and control operational integrity, service levels, costs, and safety requirementsThis includes host government specific security checkpoint and baggage screening requirements in accordance with U.S. TSA security directives, mandates and GSC responsibilitiesMonitors performance against plans and initiates corrective actions to improve resultsDetermines and justifies equipment, facilities, staffing, and training needs to achieve station operational goalsParticipates as team member to headquarters support organizations, as well as other United operating departments in administering their responsibilitiesCoordinates and provides functional guidance and supervision of contracted ground handling agentsRepresents airport activities to host government federal, state, and local airport authority agencies along with TSA international field offices, U.S. aviation security representatives and FAA Oversees and directs operational safety and security; flight departure reliability; customer processing; plane-side operations including ramp operations and customer service; baggage handling; fueling; aircraft appearance and cabin provisioning, airport policies and procedures; on-ground product technology and equipment deployment; and vendor operations as applicableMaintain strong working relationships with OAL / airport authorities / vendors / governmental authorities ( FAA / TSA / CBP)/internal divisionsManage vendor service contracts as requiredResponsible for maintaining a positive employee relations work environment and collaborative relationships with applicable labor groups and vendorsDirects station activities to ensure superior customer service, which includes mainline and STAR Alliance partner airlinesMonitors all performance against plans and initiates corrective actions to improve resultsManages the station budget, third-party staffing forecasts, and resource requirementsCollaborate in collateral assignments as required by the region leader

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Qualifications

What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

High School Diploma/ GED education equivalent4 years of relevant work experience2-4 years of experience Airport Operations Management or equivalent experienceKnowledge of airport operations to include; terminal / ramp operations and customer serviceAbility to work in a dynamic, fast paced operational environmentKnowledge of station controls and Internal Audit standardsAnalytical thinking, goal-directed leadership and service-oriented performanceStrong communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to develop and motivate personnelStrong problem solving skills and drive for excellenceSafety Awareness, being aware of conditions that affects employees, company assets and customersBuilding Partnerships - Identifying opportunities and taking action to build strategic relationships between one's area and other areas, teams, departments, units, or organizations to help achieve business goalsActively identifying new areas for learning; regularly creating and taking advantage of learning opportunities; using newly gained knowledge and skill on the job and learning through their applicationMust be flexible to work all shifts and, when necessary, available 7 days a week / 24 hours a day, including holidays and weekends, to deal with any operational and /or unforeseen situationsMust be willing to travel up to 25% of the timeMust be legally authorized to work in Colombia for any employer without sponsorshipMust be fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the positionHold a valid passport and eligible to obtain a visa
