Accounts Receivable Lead

As an Accounts Receivable Lead at Auxis, you will be instrumental in overseeing the accounts receivable operations for our clientele. Your leadership will guide a team of accounts receivable professionals, ensuring that invoices, collections, and payment reconciliations are executed with precision and timeliness. The ideal candidate will demonstrate robust leadership capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of accounts receivable practices within an outsourcing framework.

Key Responsibilities

Service Delivery Oversight

  • Direct the accounts receivable processes for our clients, managing the complete workflow from invoice creation to payment application, collections, and account reconciliation.
  • Work closely with client teams to produce accurate and timely invoices based on contractual agreements and project milestones. Ensure validation of billing details and resolve any discrepancies while maintaining thorough documentation.
  • Formulate and execute effective collection strategies aimed at reducing outstanding receivables and enhancing cash flow. Monitor client accounts, engage proactively regarding overdue payments, and escalate issues when necessary. Ensure accurate application of client payments and reconciliation of discrepancies.
  • Act as the primary contact for escalated inquiries and complex problem-solving related to accounts receivable matters.

Team Management

  • Lead and supervise the accounts receivable team, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of their daily tasks.
  • Allocate and prioritize workloads, track progress, and ensure team members achieve client-specific objectives and deadlines.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to clarify goals, address backlogs, and assess performance against operational standards.
  • Hold monthly one-on-one sessions with team members to provide constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Facilitate training and mentorship for accounts receivable staff, promoting their professional growth and adherence to best practices.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure compliance with client-specific requirements, service-level agreements (SLAs), and industry best practices.
  • Assist in the formulation and implementation of accounts receivable policies and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Prepare performance reports on accounts receivable metrics, aging analysis, and collection effectiveness for clients.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify trends, evaluate collection success, and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Stay informed on industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting accounts receivable, recommending process enhancements as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and digitization to streamline accounts receivable workflows, reduce manual tasks, and boost productivity.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related financial role, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounts receivable principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, alongside advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex payment issues and process inefficiencies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and manage vendor relationships.
  • In-depth understanding of financial controls and compliance requirements related to accounts receivable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
