Opportunity Overview:

Palladium is seeking a Country Fund Analyst who will assist the UK PACT Colombia Fund Manager and Fund Associates in managing, monitoring, and coordinating UK PACT initiatives in Colombia. This role is integral to the Palladium team engaged in supporting FCDO in the execution of the UK PACT programme in Colombia.

The Country Fund Analyst will be pivotal in facilitating the implementation and coordination of the UK PACT programme in Colombia, ensuring effective project management and oversight. The Analyst will collaborate closely with the UK PACT Colombia Fund Manager and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to provide administrative, financial, and technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

Reporting Structure:

The position will report directly to the UK PACT Colombia Fund Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

The Country Fund Analyst will be a crucial in-country member of the Palladium UK PACT team, supporting the management of daily activities from project execution and reporting to stakeholder engagement and contextual analysis to ensure overall programme success.

Specifically, the Country Fund Analyst will:

Project Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Develop terms of reference and Grant Agreements for project delivery, ensuring adherence to FCDO and Palladium's standards.
  • Review and analyze financial execution and budgets, conducting spot checks to ensure compliance with FCDO grant funding.
  • Assist in the timely implementation of projects and skill shares for climate change mitigation, ensuring alignment with the agreed workplan and budget.
  • Support Implementing Partners in project reporting, ensuring compliance with FCDO requirements.
  • Identify and assist in managing country and project-specific risks.
  • Facilitate Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) activities within the Colombia portfolio.
  • Maintain and update databases with the latest project results and information related to Implementing Partners.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely and effective project delivery, including skill shares and secondments. Facilitate regular meetings with Implementing Partners and support the coordination of events.

Documentation and Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative assistance in developing sectoral strategies, workplans, and budget planning.
  • Aid in creating project documents, ensuring adherence to UK PACT communication guidelines.
  • Ensure proper documentation is maintained in designated folders.
  • Support local due diligence processes required from Implementing Partners.
  • Assist in organizing sector portfolio governance meetings.

  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Suite.
  • Understanding of project management and grant management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Adaptable and resilient in changing environments.
  • Collaborative and committed to effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the local political and economic context in Colombia, particularly in energy and sustainable agriculture.
