Opportunity Overview:
Palladium is seeking a Colombia Fund Associate to join our UK PACT team in Bogotá, Colombia. This role is tailored for a professional with a strong commitment to carbon reduction initiatives. The UK PACT program focuses on enhancing the effectiveness of key institutions across public, private, and civil sectors in partner nations, facilitating accelerated emission reductions and elevating the ambition of their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). Key Responsibilities:
The Colombia Fund Associate will play a vital role within the Palladium UK PACT team, overseeing daily operations that encompass project implementation, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and contextual analysis to ensure the program's success.
The specific responsibilities include:
Strategic Development and Engagement:
Stakeholder Relations:
Collaborate closely with the Colombia Fund Manager to manage daily interactions with local stakeholders, particularly with project applicants and grant recipients.
Maintain a strong working relationship with local teams to collaboratively design and secure support for program activities.
Project Management: Identification, Selection, and Design of Interventions:
Contribute to the project screening and selection process, focusing on deliverability and potential impact.
Assist in overseeing timely project implementation and ensure regular feedback on results and learning through comprehensive reporting.
Support adherence to local due diligence requirements from implementing partners and assist in initial briefings.
Help mitigate risks related to fraud, corruption, and safeguarding through regular checks and compliance monitoring.
Provide recommendations for extending or replicating successful projects in collaboration with implementation partners.
Program Reporting:
Assist implementing partners with project reporting to ensure compliance with requirements.
Identify country and project-specific risk management strategies in collaboration with relevant teams.
Documentation and Administrative Support:
Assist in creating project documentation, ensuring adherence to communication guidelines.
Maintain organized documentation for managed projects.
Coordinate meetings with various stakeholders and team members.
