Investment Analysis Specialist – Funds and Asset Management

The FAM Latam team is actively looking for an Investment Analysis Specialist, Senior Analyst, or Associate Director to join our dynamic team.

The Funds and Asset Managers (FAM) team is a dedicated unit that specializes in conducting comprehensive evaluations and ratings for investment funds and asset management firms. This team assesses a diverse array of financial products, such as mutual funds, ETFs, and private equity funds, focusing on their performance, risk management, and overall viability. As a candidate, you will become part of a team of seasoned analysts and industry professionals committed to providing high-quality, impartial insights that empower investors to make informed choices. Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Analyzing critical quantitative and qualitative factors of companies within the Funds and Asset Management sectors; Developing and maintaining financial models and analytical reports; Engaging in discussions with investment management teams; Assisting senior analysts with ratings, preparing presentations for rating committees, conducting research, and writing reports, as well as monitoring existing ratings;

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree; Strong analytical, quantitative, and organizational capabilities; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to manage multiple projects effectively as priorities evolve; Proficiency in Excel, including experience with VBA programming; Familiarity with other programming languages (C++, RStudio, Python, etc.) is advantageous; Experience in mutual funds markets and/or pension funds is a plus; CFA or FRM designation, or candidacy, is preferred; Relevant experience in investment sectors: Analyst: 3 – 5 years. Senior Analyst: 3 – 5 years. Associate Director: 5 – 10 years.
