About the Role

At ConvaTec, we're looking for a skilled Network and Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure our network operates optimally, providing seamless connectivity and supporting our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement complex network solutions to meet business needs, leveraging your knowledge of network protocols and technologies.
  • Configure and maintain network hardware, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers, to ensure optimal network performance and availability.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues, providing technical support and guidance to colleagues and users at various levels within the organization.
  • Manage network security, including firewalls, VPN, and access controls, to protect our network and data from potential threats.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the smooth operation of the network and its integration with other systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest network technologies, trends, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our network infrastructure.

About You

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in multivendor network/security hands-on experience.
  • You possess knowledge of multivendor network design, Wi-Fi network solutions designs, and implementation, as well as network security, including firewalls, VPN, and access controls.
  • You are self-responsible, structured, and solution-oriented in your work, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • You have strong research skills to build information to deliver new projects and solve issues.
