Collaborating with loan officers, real estate professionals, and various stakeholders, you will scrutinize property valuations, borrower qualifications, and financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough reviews of property appraisals, credit assessments, and financial documentation to evaluate risk and confirm compliance with underwriting standards.
- Analyze market trends and property valuations to inform sound underwriting decisions.
- Maintain strict adherence to all underwriting protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Generate comprehensive reports and documentation pertaining to underwriting evaluations, effectively communicating insights to relevant parties.
- Stay informed on industry developments, regulations, and best practices to ensure that underwriting methodologies remain current and compliant.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, business, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate underwriting or a comparable field.
- In-depth knowledge of real estate markets, property valuation techniques, and risk analysis.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
- Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective interaction with clients and team members.
