Key Responsibilities:

  • To champion a customer-focused culture, deepen client relationships, and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • To develop solutions for complex, multi-faceted problems, applying technological expertise to meet business needs.
  • To participate in the creation of implementation strategies through functional specification documents, supporting users and presenting proposed changes to international audiences.
  • To provide on-call support outside regular working hours and weekends on a rotational basis.
  • To participate in the design, development, testing, and enhancement of new solutions or existing applications.
  • To understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be incorporated into daily activities and decisions.
  • To actively pursue efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, ensuring adherence to day-to-day business controls to meet obligations related to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.
  • To foster a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive workplace.

Technical Expertise:

  • .Net
  • Microsoft Power Platform

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in application development, testing, and support using SharePoint (Online/OnPremises) and related technologies.
  • A good understanding of design patterns and best practices.
  • Experience with build and deployment tools such as Azure DevOps / Visual Studio Team System.
  • Language fluency in English and Spanish B1.
  • A recognized undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Desirable to have Microsoft Certifications (SharePoint / SPFX / PowerApps / Microsoft 365 Fundamentals).

Work Environment:

  • Standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are common occurrences.

The estimated annual salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $80,000 USD, depending on qualifications and location.
